Dr. John Cole graduated in Chemistry and Biology in 1981 and went on to obtain a medical degree in 1985. Since 1990 he has been exclusively dedicating himself to hair transplant surgeries. Besides performing hair transplant surgeries he also has studied over the years to find innovative instruments and tools in order to improve the quality of the hair transplants performed. In 2002 he invented the CIT (Cole Isolation Technique). This allows a surgeon to individually extract and carefully select each follicular unit, thus maximizing the donor area. In 2013 he was awarded the Golden Follicle Award by the ISHRS association for his contribution to the development of hair transplant surgery. His clinic is called Forhair and is based in Atlanta.
